I think Louis would have been disappointing if he hadn't played. He scored goals throughout the competition, including in both legs of the semi-final, which is some feat. He deserved to play in the final and everything else is secondary.

The first game we hit the ball hard. Matt pitched a really good game. He got himself into a jam in the first inning but got out of it. He threw strikes and hit his spots.

In the second game, we threw a freshman. The first two innings, he didn't have a lot of control. It was his first time out and the butterflies were going. Everything was missing up high.

Both pitchers today were not as sharp as their first game. Matt (Reich) was coming off three days rest. He left the ball up and got hit around. He didn't pitch bad but he wasn't great. He kept us in the game.

He had his fastball, curve and change-up going and was throwing all three for strikes. Also, they played good defense and made the plays they had to make.

Mike threw a good game and kept us in the game. He's pitching really well. He kept pitchers off balance and only had two or three balls hit hard all day.

Birmingham had long spells of play in the second half, but our form has been excellent. The signs are very good. We have excellent players who could be world class in a couple of years.

Ruud has a long-term contract and I am happy about that. We all know he is a fantastic player and he will get his opportunity again. But at the moment Louis merits his place in the team at the moment because of his goals and his performances.

Louis currently deserves to play because of his performances and his goals.

We know when he comes on he's going to do it because he's the best finisher in the game.

Overall the form has been excellent and we have been playing some great football. Overall, I'm pleased how we've gone about our recent games.

We had Aston Villa come here and defend for their lives and Manchester City have done exactly the same.

Gaby doesn't want to be ruled out at the moment but I do not see him playing. Gary is a concern because he is not training. We have got medical people working on him and we will give him every chance but it is not looking good.
