We've done both. It's kind of been a situation of just taking what the defense gives us. If they've loaded up against the run, we've been able to work the passing game. It's just recognizing what approach they're taking, and making calls based on that. |
Well, that was one of those things where I was looking left the whole way and we had three receivers over there, ... I tried to fake to Antwaan (Randle El) right away and didn't feel confident and didn't want to force it, so I saw the opportunity to go to my right, and went right, and that's when the receiver takes over. |
When it's do-or-die for us, this team gets down to the nitty-gritty. |
When Jerome fumbled, we were over there talking, saying, 'Well, there must be a reason, because he doesn't fumble. So, somehow, something's supposed to happen. |
When we game-plan, I think we'll be lot more dangerous. |
When you play in the preseason, you don't game-plan. You're playing against yourself, really. I just felt like we were really close to being in sync and being really good. |
When you think about the Super Bowl, you imagine yourself coming and playing your best football, and it wasn't that way. |
When you're a quarterback and you're remembering a tackle... I think I turned him enough times that he got close to me and couldn't decide which way to go. I was just hoping I could slow him down. |
Willie has been playing great. He adds a different dimension to what people are used to seeing when they think Steelers football. They think hard, grind-it-out football getting two yards at a time. Not that we really have changed that, but Willie kind of adds that dimension that he can bounce it outside and get you 10, 15 or 20 yards on any given run. |
Willie has done so much for this team. The new and exciting running game that he has brought has really been awesome. Otherwise, I'd give it to our entire offensive line if I could. |
Win Super Bowls, especially for this city. |
Y'all want to come in now? All the non-believers. You want to come in now? |
You can never simulate the game, the game speed, in practice, especially a team like Indianapolis on their Field Turf. So I think it will be a challenge, I definitely think there will be some rust. The question is, how quick can I knock it off? |
You don't expect that from a guy like that. Obviously, he was a little frustrated. But I don't remember complaining. It's just unfortunate coming from a guy like that. |
You go out and you try to do a little too much instead of playing within yourself and playing within the system. The thing this year is to try not to make mistakes you made last year. (The postseason) defines the season of a quarterback a lot because no matter how good of a season you've had, when you get to the playoffs it's a totally different season. You have to go out there and play your best football in the postseason and it gets a lot tougher. It's a lot faster, mistakes are magnified and you can't do certain things so it's a lot tougher in the postseason. |
