There is nowhere we don't need to improve. It is just like [before the 2002 World Cup]. We clearly need to make the team better and we will, move the domestic players along, and we have gotten an early start on that because of qualifying early.

We had great success in 2002 staging our operations in one location (Seoul) and traveling into our venues for games and we feel that strategy will work for us again in 2006.

I think the field conditions made it difficult for both teams. These games tend to be games of mistakes, because there's going to be a lot of technical errors on the field and the sloppy surface. I think both teams did well in that regard.

Let's give our opponents credit. I think they played real hard and came with a good plan.

My suggestion is that a better way to manage the game is just tell the player to take the jewelry off. That's hard to do when you have a young referee. Maybe a little more experience, maybe he'll disregard what the rule book says there and use maybe a little more common sense.

I saw a little enthusiasm from the crowd as bottles were flying.

It's not perfect, but it's a good position to be in.

This was a real test of our team. We showed a lot of character and spirit and never put our heads down.

They are a pretty athletic team and their forwards have scored some big goals for them. We told the team before the El Salvador game, in all honesty that the better team in the Panama-El Salvador game was Panama. We felt that [Panama] would be a harder game and I think it will turn out to be that way.

I give the U.S. credit for passing character test. At the end of the day, it is not certainly a perfect performance, but we are on the road and we take two points away from the home team.

I still think the big part of the game was our inability to take advantage of our control in the first half where we created chances and had a lot of the play. Their forwards won the battle and made a difference in the second half.
