 Jamie was great. Was Schilling great, too? I never credit pitchers. I make my living off pitchers. But Jamie was great, and he got squeezed a lot, too.

 Now in a leadership role on a young team, Everett will thrive and could approach the numbers he put up for Houston and Boston, meaning 30 home runs, 100 RBIs and double figure steals.

 That's how we've done it all year long, and it's certainly not going to change now.

 That's why if it was up to me, I'd turn off all of the TVs in the clubhouse. And I'd turn the (out-of-town) scoreboard off at home, too. What good does it do? When you're in a pennant race, you shouldn't worry about the teams chasing you, so why watch the games?

 The pressure is all on the pitcher. He doesn't want me to get a hit, and he doesn't want to walk me. There are probably a lot of negative thoughts bouncing around in his head.

 There's no reason to get down. We know we can win. Losing yesterday and losing today is not going to knock any confidence from us.

 This is the way we've been all year,

 This technology that we call wireless is going to have many contributors, and they are going to be all over the world. There are going to be important companies around the world involved in it. Austin is, and will be, a player in the wireless space. But it will be one of many.

 We feel like we're playing great baseball. It's not just my hit or anyone else's hits. This here, to me, is a team. It's not just one person. We put six runs on the board, we got good pitching, and we got a win. A good, team win.

 We just didn't get the clutch hit, but we fought the whole way. We played 27 outs and had our opportunities. It shows the character of this team. We're not giving up.

 We lost this game with no fundamentals. If we all collectively get the fundamentals down, we win this game.

 We played as a team. I'm so proud of all 25 guys. We never died.

 We saw that he was frustrated with himself a little bit. As older guys, we have to stay on him, make him think positive thoughts. Just one pitch at a time. Get ahead of the hitters. Be the pitcher he can be and forget about some of the thoughts that he has. Just pitch his game and not worry about what people expect from you. He's going to come around.

 We were solid the whole time. Our pitching was great, we had great defense and it showed tonight. Uribe came up so clutch. He's the best shortstop in the league right there. Without him tonight, we'd still be playing.

 We'll just have to get to Cleveland and play a little better baseball.
