A big portion of our success was because of our seniors. They were the heart and soul of the team. They were committed to winning and they stuck with it during the hard times.

A break in the schedule could be good or bad. If you're hot and on a roll, you want the games to roll over. But a break also gives you time to practice and rest, so I think it's a good thing for us.

It was a grind it out game. We didn't play our best in the first two periods. During the second intermission, I let the kids know how I thought they were playing and we made some adjustments. They responded well.

Simsbury was deep and we're not as deep. We held tough. We were down 2-0 and we had some scoring opportunities. Midway through the second period our legs got a little tired. They were running four lines our there, while we were using two and a half.
