He's the best strike thrower in the game. Our focus was to be ready to hit, and to get a good pitch to hit, because we knew he was going to be around the plate.

He's thrown the ball very well since he's been up here. He knows he's going to be in the bullpen. He realizes his role.
He's tough. That guy just gives you a greater effort every time he goes out there.
Heads up is the name for that. Jose recognized what was happening, and ran across the infield and got the out.
Hitting a knuckleball is always tough, and he (Wakefield) knows how to utilize it better than anyone out there.
Hopefully it's nothing more than that, but we'll know more (today).
Hopefully Ronnie will not be out too long, he might even be back Saturday. He's certainly been as consistent as anyone on the team for us all year.
Hopefully, he'll be able to pinch-hit for us [Friday] and be back with us [Saturday].

How [a catcher] handles the pitching staff and receiving is always going to be more important than the offense. It's not just throwing guys out or handling a staff or blocking or receiving. It's the total package. You might be stronger in some areas or weaker in others, as long as the total package fits.
How he handled everything is one of the things that stuck out about Fernando. And down the stretch, we used him in some pretty important situations.
I actually did watch the last four or five innings of it. That was an interesting game. You don't see those games in this day and age.
I already see Grady becoming a big-game player. He's young, but he's showing he can handle pressure. He's special.
I didn't really have a Plan B. But I would have had to come up with one real quick.
I didn't see it. I was watching the ball and the runner, but hopefully he's all right. I think he is.
I don't have a specific date in mind. But once we approach the weekend, we'll probably have a better idea of who's leading. I'm not saying we'll make a decision over the weekend.
