Coach Mac does a good job managing the team. He's always going to put us in the right position to win games.

Coach Mac is a guy that is going to go to bat for his players. You've got to love that about him.

He's a tremendous player. We've struggled a bit without him.

I feel great. My body feels better not having to work out for football and baseball at the same time, and it's a relief just to be able to focus on baseball 100 percent.

I felt I have a lot more potential in baseball. I've done everything I could possibly try to do to get better as a football player. I've invested hours and hours and hours, and I feel that I may have reached my peak with that sport. In baseball, I feel that the ceiling is higher and I have a lot more room to grow.

I guess I just have to hit the ball somewhere else. I had an opportunity hit some balls to score some runners tonight and I didn't do the job.

I just decided it would be best if I just focus on one sport. The (football) coaches said I could be 100 percent baseball now, and I'm looking forward to that. I haven't had the opportunity, yet. I'm looking forward to the strides I can make this season.

I take the blame for that. I had the opportunity to drive in guys, and I just didn't get the job done.

I thought I got away from a contact sport, but I guess not. My goal is to get on base any way I can and just start some turmoil.

I've just got to hit it somewhere else I guess. I can't hit it right at people with guys in scoring position.

It caught me off-guard. It just snapped.

It was crazy, just physically on the body. It tears you down. We played 70 something games (in baseball last season). There was a point where my body was getting worn down and my recovery time (was slow). I'd just feel really sore the next day and through the weekend. I'd be fresh on Friday and on Saturday, and Sunday I was beat.

It was really just mental toughness to get through those rain delays. We're trying to get hot right now, and any time you can beat a team of Florida State's caliber, it's a confidence booster.

It's frustrating that I'm not helping score runs for the team. I had opportunities to score some guys tonight and I didn't do the job. That's what it boils down to.
