It's an awesome situation to be in. Both (Green) and (Zeller) do a great job back there. If one isn't getting it done, we can throw the other one back there. It's good competition as well because they can't get too comfortable knowing the other one is right there with them.

She is a true team player. It's not about the playing time, it's not about the numbers, it's not about anything besides the team succeeding and that is very evident in her play.

(Ferguson) started off really well, but sometimes one thing will go wrong and then you start thinking and then you start trying to force it instead of just trusting your stuff.

The way I'm looking at it is, you have to have a good throw, everything has to be on and we're down. Sometimes you have to take risks and be aggressive. I felt at the time that we needed to take that chance to push the run across.

Iowa always brings out the best in every team that they play. They are such an aggressive and such a dominant team that you want to come out here and play well every single time. I told my team that we've got nothing to lose and to just go out and play loose.

We have to keep playing like we've been playing in conference. Playing (Iowa and Illinois State University) is helping us to get ready for Southern Utah because they are going to be tough. These teams showed us what we need to work on, so we can get ready for the weekend.

Disappointing. We had two games that we just basically gave to them. We needed to win the first game in each day and we didn't do it.

It was a good game overall. I told the team that we showed a lot of resilience and came through to stay in the game, but we also talked about the negative things too.

We've gotten away from looking at the process of the game. We start looking at the big picture, and we start thinking about (winning all the games in a series). Right now we're blowing this up way too big, and that's what we did during the (losing streak). We need to play the game pitch by pitch.

It is very important to get young girls involved, to get to see sports, to have the opportunity to participate in things like this.

The losses we have had this year have been a lesson for us. We started winning some games over Spring Break after we sat down and had a team meeting. Nothing has changed on our end, I still think we will win our conference.

We talked a lot about working the count more when we're hitting. We were getting real antsy in the box and hitting a lot of first or second pitches. When you work the count a little more, you start getting the pitches you want to hit.

Green has stepped up big time for us. She has called some great games and has also done tremendous at the plate. She was a walk-on in the fall and I didn't know what to expect out of her but she's done very well in stepping in for (junior catcher) Erin Zeller, who has been battling a shoulder injury.

We're lucky to get to travel as much as we do. We've been blessed to have great weather so far and we have even played through some cold games over at Indiana State (University) where it was around 35 degrees.

Everybody has been stepping up at any given time to get it done. If you look at our box score it's not like we rely on one or two people. Everybody is stepping up at different times like a flock of geese. One person has to take the lead and we have that going for us right now.
