Everything was OK on the MRI.

Evidently, he didn't like it too well. He responded pretty well tonight. Every time I get a gut feeling, I'll rest him again if I know I'm going to get two homers the next night.

For a young hitter, he uses the whole field as good as anyone.
For me, he's got some of the better stuff in camp. It's just whether he can command it or not. His ball moves as good as anybody's we've got. He's got great stuff.

Half of them are out there with their hats off. Half of them with their hats on backward. Half of them talking to the other team. I'm just not going to do it.

He (Thome) looks healthy and strong, he's tuned up his body a little bit. Not having to go out on the defensive side probably helps. Early on, it appears he was a great pickup for them. He's a threat to hit it out anytime.
He and I have talked about him catching 140 games this season.
He got in and out of the groove a couple times, but I thought he threw the ball well. I thought he made some good pitches. He got out of sync on a couple pitches, but I was very pleased.
He had a great day. He put good swings on the ball. He had a little fun. It was good. The only problem was I had to hug him goodbye today.
He had nasty stuff. I'm very pleased. He's making progress.
He has got some great stuff, it's just a matter of getting some maturity. Last time out he threw the ball, today he pitched.
He hits it far and doesn't know where it's going. I hit it short and don't know where it's going.
He just got some balls up. He'll be fine. He's a young pitcher. He'll have growing pains - couple on, couple off. We can live with that.
He looked like his old self. That's the thing I'm happiest about.
He looks very healthy and strong to me. Not having to go out on defense will be a big help for him during the year.
