I know how hard they've been working for a win.

I'm happy for Chad, especially because he hasn't had a chance to enjoy Victory Lane. His cars have been winning races but he was, unfortunately, at home.

The one thing I can say is that at the end of the race the bump drafting picked up, and looking at my bumper and knowing the bump drafting that I was doing, the bumper wasn't damaged. We might have to soften them up another notch.

I feel bad in some respects because Brian was on the verge of winning his first race. I know how much he wanted to win and I feel for him. But I had to get aggressive and I don't regret the move.

I got into some situations last year, and I just felt in my heart that maybe I was being too aggressive. [This year] I really just stayed cautious. I didn't want to be aggressive. I didn't want to block anybody. And then at the end, [I] got really aggressive and raced for the win.

I knew I wanted me or one of my teammates to win. We helped each other all day, and then I got a great run on the last lap to get by Brian. I don't really know where it came from.

If I wasn't going to win, I wanted Brian to. He moved down to block me, but I had just barely got my bumper under him.

Brian drove probably the best race of his life today. I won't say that I regret [the pass ], but I did feel for him. He's going to win a lot of these races.

He's worked his butt off, to finally be present for one of them means a lot to him.

I tried to stay calm and smooth all day. I didn't get aggressive until the end and it paid off.

I really feel that we're going to be strong.

We're still at the Brickyard, right? It's all corporate dollars and we all have to do what we can to put food on the table.

One (DNF), I spun out here and crashed, ... I was frustrated. I got too aggressive and crashed. That was worth at least 100 points. All I needed was to be safe.

We'll just have to go back to the shop and perform the automotive equivalent of an autopsy on the car. Only then will we be able to determine the C.O.D. That's 'cause of death' to those of you who don't know.

I think last year we were all nervous about it and worrying about the cars in the final 10 and how vulnerable they are and how much is on the line,
