At first it was sort of awkward. Now, everybody's getting used to it. Overall, we just need to be able to match out intensity.

I don't think we were intimidated.

I don't think we were intimidated. Early on in the game we were just trying to hurry the ball and push the ball to make them run, but I don't think intimidation was a factor.

I like trying to win. But this rivalry, it's just knowing that for one year, we can walk around saying we're the best.

I think the guys were just a little too excited at the start. We were trying to calm them down in the locker room and they were bouncing all over the place. But they settled down. Andrew hit some big shots for us and really set us off on a run there.

I think this loss just showed that they're more physical and more mature. I told my team we need to keep pushing it, but that's what (Quincy) did. That's what an experienced team does.

I told the guys to just play good defense and no make (Riley-Smith) put it on the floor and work for a shot. They did that. I'm proud of these guys. I've been preaching to these guys about finishing off games. We finished one off tonight.

I'll tell you, they came out ready to practice. Nothing much seems to bother these guys. They haven't lost their confidence. And that's good to see. That's only going to make things better.

If we can pick up these two (TSU tonight and Prairie View A&M on Monday) at home, we'll be in much better shape. We've got a lot of the better teams in the conference coming to our place in the second half. We've played well at home. We need to win these games this weekend and build on them.

It is just a lack of concentration. It has to do with playing with confidence under and around the basket. We just came out flat.

It was amazing. All I wanted was to help (the seniors) beat Mac. It's a great feeling.

It was kinda crazy going back and forth. We were working the inside-outside game, and when they doubled down we got open shots.

It's really surprising how well he's playing. You see him walking, and he's walking with a limp, and you never would think that he's been able to play like he is. But he's worked his tail off and he's fought to get where he is.

Nah, not really. It was fun.

The guys were really down following that game. I can't blame them. It was a tough one to take.
