I thought it was a chance to get some compensation when we would not have otherwise.

We have had a lot of injuries, and this gives us a chance to get another guy on the roster.

He has held true. If anybody has made something good out of his situation, it's Ken.

I'm not looking to pull him out of games.

Who's going to take his place?

I think perception and reality is a little (askew) on that one.

He's OK, ... I think they have some other guys that are playing pretty good in front of him.

You would think he's a 240-pound man sometimes the way he runs it up in there. Frank is a very good back and he'll be that as long as he plays football.

Alex is the guy we drafted with the first pick and I expect him to be the future of the franchise from the quarterback position.

There was a high-percentage chance that right before the (trade) deadline somebody would be looking for a quarterback. If you don't get it done now, then you won't get it done later. It just so happened that Tampa Bay was on a real hunt because they had an injury, and a significant one with their starter.

I've said all along Ken was an odd-man out, but I believe he'll be a very capable backup. I believe it will take him a few weeks to get into the flow. Hopefully, Alex stays strong and stays healthy, and we won't have to go to Ken any time soon.

We do have our best guys on the field at this point. I'm excited about the future in David Baas, Patrick Estes (a seventh-round pick) and Adam Snyder. (But) I don't think they're at the point right now to unseat anybody.

We'll be able to get Cody in the mix, as far as working more at quarterback and not just on special teams. Although, I'm still undecided on if I'll have him do both.

My goals lie with the football team, not with getting back at anyone, because there's nothing from my standpoint to get back at,

At the same time, sure, it was a struggle. It was difficult, but ... some of those experiences there I could never get anyplace else.
