en We did some good things tonight with the first group. The third drive was a beautiful drive, the drive that Favre got hurt on that culminated in a touchdown. But we were three-and-out, three-and-out the first two times. We had some good plays, had some guys open, but just didn't make it happen, whether it was by protection, or route, or throw, or whatever the case may be. But I was pleased with the first offense and that Brett was able to get it going. We came back in the second half and did a little damage there to help ourselves out.

en We saw what happened upstairs and they said (Favre) got leg-whipped. It wasn't intentional, I believe. We kind of knew what the injury was. He swore to me on the sideline that it was fine, but it stiffened up on him as the game went along. I was glad that he was able to go in and get the team into the end zone. That was important to him and to the offense.

en Friday was the day we really tested him and worked him hard. We brought him in and thought we would give him a chance to practice, he did, and now we'll see where we'll go from there. This doesn't mean he'll play Monday night.

en It doesn't surprise me that he came out here today and played the way he played. I knew he would do that.

en What do you think this is? (I) have them locked to their desk? We're going to get some time off. And, they deserve it. They worked real hard. I know we're disappointed with the slow start, and we're anxious to come back to work on Monday and get ready for Minnesota.
