(Defensive coordinator) Jerry Gray feels the same way I feel, |
A lot of corners just don't care for tackling. But we like hitting and we won't shy away from contact. |
Everything is fine, ... There is nothing wrong with me. I'm good to go. |
He's an athletic receiver, big, fast and strong, ... You just can't let him know what you're going to do. You have to keep him guessing. I can't sit there and try to outmuscle the guy every single snap. It's not going to really work. You pick and choose your spots. |
I came out of coverage and I saw that Fletch (linebacker London Fletcher) had already secured the tackle, ... (Brown) was trying to fight for extra yards. By doing that, the ball was hanging out there. I just tried to go for the ball and I was just blessed that it came out. We needed a big play right there and we got one. |
I didn't really see the ball thrown, ... (Chambers) tried to run in between me and Troy and I was close enough to him that I looked up and saw the ball out the corner of my eye. I saw that it was going behind my back, so I just turned around and it was there. |
I don't know what the figures look like, yet, I really don't get into that. I just worry about producing on the field. |
I prepare the same, I practice the same, and I play the same. I don't know the reason for it. I guess I'm just fortunate enough to have their number. |
I think what sets me and Terrence apart is we're complete corners, ... We're versatile as far as covering, and we take a lot of pride in coming up on run support and making a hit on the ball carrier. When you have guys who can do a little bit of everything, it adds so much more to the defense. |
I'm the best and I don't settle for nothing less. It's just like if you're the best at your job, you want to be compensated for being the best at your position. |
I've been trying to punch at (the ball) all day because that dude's a load, ... I just went for the ball and it came out. |

It's definitely important for a corner. I always play with freedom. I guess it's like when you know your girlfriend loves you, but it's always good to hear her tell you. I always play with freedom, but with that reassurance, it just allows me to play with more confidence and play my style of football. |
It's not easy when you're one-on-one out there and you've got to make the tackle, ... You have to be disciplined when you're out there on the edge and keep everything in front of you. |
