(Dyer's) a total team guy. It doesn't matter if he scores or not; he goes to the boards hard, plays solid defense and he just does what needs to be done.

I challenged them. We need to win three games and I asked them if they have the courage to do that.

I really hurt for our kids because they had such a great year. I hurt for (assistant) coach (Frank) Mattson because we wanted to get him back to state, and I hurt for my wife, because she's going to have to put up with me for the next two weeks.

I think we're healthy and ready. We got hit with some sickness at the end of the season but we fought through it and won some tough games. I like the way we finished.

In the third quarter, they just hit some outside shots. And then when they went inside-outside, we were in trouble.

It's disappointing because we fought hard to get back in front and then made a couple of mistakes and let them the regain the momentum.

It's funny because 30 points is huge but Jack spread it out through the whole game. It was almost a quiet 30. He was relentless.

Richland fights tougher than nails and I was pleased with how we responded in the fourth quarter. We still need to get more disciplined on offense but I like our effort.

The pace of the game changed everything for us. We were way more aggressive this time and Drew got us going. We surprised them a little at the start, coming out on them with pressure.

These kids are good. They're going to schools like Duke and North Carolina.

This is just an intense time and Davis brought their A game. I like how we withstood that. There were times when Davis took it to us, but we had that nice run in the third quarter and that made a big difference.

Those kids were the pioneers, but this team felt the same goals were realistic even though we lost some good kids. Their theme since the beginning was, 'It's our turn.' They believed that.

To tell you the truth, I'm kind of surprised someone from Bellingham (High School) didn't do anything to it. But maybe that's a sign of how much they respected that team and all it accomplished.

We learned an important lesson about coming out too passive the first time we played Davis. The second time was different and we need that same energy.

What really hurt was our offensive execution. We didn't move the ball quick enough.
