Pretty much the whole time I didn't execute any pitches. Then they hit them hard ... and that's all that happened today.

You don't want to show them everything you've got. But you want to go out there and compete and not give them a lot of runs. I'm a competitor and, even during spring training, I don't like to give up a lot of runs.
You're not ever going to see me start putting my head down. I'm going to do whatever I have to do to get out of it. I'm going to throw whatever pitch is working that day. If I have to throw 75 breaking balls, then that's what it's gonna be. My demeanor is that you can knock me down, but you know I'm not going to stay down.
