At this point I knew it was the deer I was looking for, however, I was not going to shoot him until I could clearly see both drops. As I patiently watched, he raised his head and I could clearly see both drop tines. I shot the deer at 135 yards. |
However, while scouting prior to the season I saw a big mature buck that appeared to have short drop tines off of both main beams as well as an abnormal point coming off of the left brow tine. This buck was very unique and after studying video from a second setting I decided this was the deer I would hunt. |
