I think there are two lines of thought on this. Don't show up for work and show the impact that has, or you should protest in a more constructive way, by showing your work ethic, that you're responsible and a contributor. |
I think there is an 'us versus them' mentality. There is a frustration that we have to constantly defend ourselves. I'd rather not be on the defensive. I'd rather just educate people about our faith. |
It's our positive reaction to a negative issue. The cartoons deface the character of the prophet and in turn our character. But we feel the violent response is not warranted. It's not the way the prophet would have responded. |
People are using (Islam) to carry out some of the frustrations that they have. But this is not just about the defamation of Muhammad. Each Muslim is feeling like it's saying 'You're a terrorist. ...' So you're defaming my character as well. |
