I was going to challenge him into turn one but, to me, it looked like he braked so early. I reacted and hit the brakes, but simply locked up the front wheels and contacted the back of his car. Basically, I couldn't decelerate like I wanted to, so it looked quite big.

I'd like to see him racing with a good team and he'll want that too. Our goal is to build a team he will want to drive for.

It might be difficult at the start but I'm sure we can improve step by step. It's a new challenge and I hope to use my experience to the full.

It was a mixed weekend for me, ... It was great on the one hand as I had a really exciting race, but it was a shame that I could not finish in the points today.

It was very tricky at the beginning of the race, but I made a good first lap and gained many positions. It was an exciting first stint and things were going well up to the first stop. The incident with Michael happened on the first corner after the restart, following the safety car. With cold tyres and brakes, it was very difficult to stop the car and unfortunately, I touched the back of him. Obviously, I am disappointed that we could not deliver a good result today.

It's obviously very tricky conditions, and a restart. I locked up the front wheels on the brakes and couldn't stop in the distance.

Monza is a very unique circuit and easily the fastest in the F1 calendar in terms of speed. The Italian Grand Prix weekend has traditionally seen lots of exciting racing so we can hope to see more of that. We've had a strong test during our two days at Monza last week so we are looking forward to challenging in the race at the weekend.

Our qualifying positions cost us the result, ... but we tried a very different strategy today to try to make up some places.
