I was there and Governor Riley walked by and then a little later sent for me. He spent about 10 minutes with me, listened and said he would look into it. I had no idea that I would actually get to see him. But at least the run accomplished its mission. At least people are aware of the problem that fathers face.

There are all sorts of reasons that they don't care for me and I can accept that. I just want to be able to see my kids regularly. I prayed about it and am glad that the governor said he will at least look into it. I know there are no guarantees, but at least it's something.

People don't know what I'm going through, and the sad part is there are other fathers just like me. I'm a father, but a court has said that someone else should raise my kids. I'm going to walk to Montgomery and hopefully talk to Gov. Bob Riley and ask him for help. This is the only way I thought I could get someone to listen.

It may take me a month of Saturdays, but I will get there. But I'll be here every Saturday until I get there. I'll keep going until someone who can help me will listen.
