He has good size. He runs well. Mechanically, he is pretty sound. He has a strong arm. He just has a lot of tools to work with. We are very happy to get him where we got him. |
He has to be careful doing that backing up, ... He got caught against Green Bay. If you leave the pocket too early and take off and run that's not necessarily a bad thing because he's got good running ability. He just has to be smart about it. Get out of bounds or slide. |
I think we're better up front than we were last year, ... There's more depth at receiver. I think the backs will be better than last year. Tight ends are doing well. Then you have essentially a rookie quarterback. The fortunate thing for him is a lot of rookie quarterbacks who play are with teams that don't have that kind of talent surrounding them. So we think we can have a very good offense. It's just going to be a matter of hopefully starting off fast. |

It is a very satisfying feeling. It is wonderful to see how excited the students are. |
No, he hasn't thrown many, and for the most part he goes to the correct guy, ... He doesn't force a lot of passes, which obviously translates to fewer interceptions. That's been a big plus. . . . The games are a lot different than practice. He's left the pocket sometimes when the protection has been good. But for the most part he gets back and unloads it. |
That's one of our goals, to score touchdowns in the red zone, |
The biggest benefit to (Losman) is we have a team with a good defence. We're going to try to control the ball. We're going to be a running team and try for big plays when we have the opportunity. |
The biggest benefit to him is we have a team with a good defense, ... We have a lot of good players on offense. So it isn't like the (John) Elway situation or the Peyton (Manning) situation. |
We have a quarterback who can move around, |
