When you're in the top-10 there at the end you've got to protect yourself. You've got to race hard but you've also got to protect yourself, and that's how you get into the Chase to begin with. It was just an unfortunate deal, but we always knew in the back of our minds that something like that could happen. We just didn't anticipate that it would happen in the first race of the Chase.

Obviously something happened today. This wasn't the way our car drove yesterday. There's something wrong there, but we'll be fine. We'll get caught up.

From a promoter standpoint and car owner standpoint, we knew a couple of years ago, when the World of Outlaws was kind of at their lowest point organization-wise, something needed to be done and a group needed to come in and take the sport back to the level that it used to be at.

You're 11th, but a lot of those guys gotta stop, so we're really more like fifth... I may have over-adjusted on that last stop, so I'll take the blame, but the reason you may be loose is because your right rear quarter panel is hanging almost straight out after the 20 (Stewart) hit you.

You were OK. He just barely tagged you. And good call to pit earlier on (on lap 180). I thought it was bad call then, but we're really in good shape now.

Nobody saw this coming that is for sure,

It got us a lap down to where we couldn't get in the top ten. But, I'm just proud of them. It was a lot better car at the end that from where we started.

Obviously you want to get off to a good start, ... But I don't think that you could say that if you have a mediocre first week, it's the end of your championship hopes by any means.

We really needed to have everything go right for us to be a contender last year, ... This year, we're in pretty good shape. So if we don't have a perfect week right off the bat, we feel like we've got some time to catch up.

We need to be a little better than we are. But I didn't knock the fence down.

The race just carries more variables that are out of your control than any other race,

It's one of those scenarios where the guys in the top 10 are really going to be careful, but they're still going to have to race hard to gain as many points as they can.

Whether you are a Tony Stewart fan or not, you have to admire the job he's done today.

I don't feel like we're really in a catch-up mode, ... We had our bad week and even with that, we're only 23 points behind. We could take the points lead back this weekend very easily.
