We told them at halftime that we we're getting off good shots, we just couldn't get them to fall. We did a better job of moving without the ball in the second half and got in better position to make some easier shots.

In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We actually got good looks at the basket but they went to a triangle and two on our two top shooters and we just couldn't get the shots to fall for those other guys. A big key to the game was handling their pressure, especially because we weren't shooting the ball well. We were able to break their press with patience and we didn't get into the up-tempo game that they wanted. We pushed the ball, but only when we wanted to.

In order to find your shot, you have to keep shooting the ball and coach gives us the confidence to do that. (Tuesday) was one of those nights when shots didn't fall, but we expecting that not to happen (tonight).

I really didn't get discouraged at all. Shooters keep shooting. I knew eventually they were going to fall. We're never going to give up, we're just going to keep fighting. We knew the pressure was getting to them a little bit. We did a good job of keeping a foot on their throat.

They played a zone against us and sagged the whole first half. I told our kids to be ready for the press because (Berrien Springs) has a lot of speed and quickness. They have real good athletes. Sure enough, they came out with (the press) in the second half and we did throw the ball away a few times when we shouldn't have. We also missed some shots. I figure I have to do something else now. Rebound, play defense, get some assists. I'm going to take shots, but they are going to fall in crunch time. They may not fall as much as they used to, but they are going to fall, so I'm not going to be shy about shooting.

Everybody, including myself, came out to start the game too relaxed and too lethargic. Coach (Neals) told me to keep my head up and keep shooting the ball because the shots would fall.

I think whenever you lose three in a row, you always worry. We need to play with some confidence. If we get a couple shots to fall, it's amazing what happens to kids' confidence when the ball starts going in. I think we have good shooters and the ball will start going back in for us.

Our shots didn't fall. We were 3 of 21 (three-pointers). We've never been that bad. It was our night not to make shots. In the third quarter we cut it to within four and our shots didn't fall. In the fourth quarter we cut it to within five points and our shots didn't fall.

I think the guys were a little anxious out there early on and the shots just weren't falling. But we got the shots we wanted and were in the right spots to score, so that's all you can ask. As long as we do that, the shots are going to fall eventually.
