 Last year, I had 250 people on my list for consideration. This year I had to strike 20 names from that list. They've given up farming. They are no longer in business.

 It's an impressive list based on the subject matter, and it includes a lot of writers who've never been nominated before. I think this list is going to be reflective of what the Oscar list will ultimately be because we covered all of the movies this year.

 Do I wish I was longer? Sure. I'll get longer, but everybody else will, too. It was a power game last year, and I finished fourth on the money list, so it can be done.
