It was the worst gezegde

 It was the worst thing I've ever seen happen at a high school basketball game.

 My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

 They've always been that close. In high school, everywhere he went she was right there with him. Basketball and baseball, she was at every game, his biggest fan. Every basketball game, he'd give her a kiss before the game.

 The conference will be very competitive. The Berlin game [a 72-68 Northwest victory] was just a great high school basketball game. There is still a lot of basketball to be played.

 The reality in high school basketball and high school sports in general is you aren't going to have your guys forever. It's time for them to move on. They've gotten everything they could out of their high school careers.

 I'm not sure where we belong [in the national rankings] and I honestly mean that, but I want to make sure that when we go [to Xavier] that we play great defense, we take good shots, and we play the way we're capable of playing.  In Kentucky, it's everything. Our homecoming is during basketball season. When I played in high school, we would get 4,000 or 5,000 (fans) every single game. We had to play in a downtown arena. We couldn't play in our own high-school gym.

 I have been trying to do this since high school. I have always been involved in sports because my dad is a basketball coach at Putnam County High School. My father has been a basketball, football, track and cross country coach.

 Edwardsville's always a big game for us, no matter if he's there or if he's not. It was very strange to play against him. I've been playing with him all my life and it was a strange thing. He's a great basketball player and he'd help any high school out.

 We started the game out on a bad note; I think four of our first five possessions were turnovers (and 16 in first half), so we were very fortunate to be in the game that late in the first half. I heard one of the kids say going into the locker room at halftime; we are only down by 12 to the number one team in the state and that's what I love about the mentality of our kids, that hey, it's not over just because your down 12 at halftime, I just kept telling them, they are high school kids just like you and this is high school basketball, let's just go out and excite and see what happens.

 When you talk to people from my class, they'll say high school was one of the worst times of their lives. What's stayed with me, with many of us, is anger, that I didn't enjoy high school.

 Traditional high school basketball fans don't think it's necessary. There's the cost of the equipment, operational needs to find someone trained and skilled to work it. There's the flip side where people thing it adds excitement to the game. Seven states have overcome those obstacles.

 It's probably the worst game I ever threw, that I could remember. It was a bad game all the way around - walking people, not throwing the ball where I wanted to, getting behind guys - it was one of those days. I was like a high school kid out there.
