 This ballpark is the greatest place to play in and for some people it can be the worst place. What some of the players went through [last year] was tough.

 These people love this place, OK? They're all saying, 'I don't want to see it go down. What's wrong with this ballpark?' When they see the new ballpark, they'll forget about this place in a hurry.

 Beating Penn State is not going to be an easy task no matter how you stretch it, whether it's at their place or at our place. I think being at home gives us that bit of an advantage. It's always tough to play here and it's always tough to play at their place. We certainly prefer to be going into this game being at the Jesse.

 To me, the image of L.A. is hard-working, good people, who play together and are tough. (They) just happen to live in the greatest place in the world.

 People here fell in love with the ballpark, and the facility became a meeting place first, and then they started following the ballclub as they got to know some of the players,

 We appreciate the way the fans have turned out this year. But you have an empty feeling in your stomach when you come out and see half of the ballpark empty. The players earned the people to be watching. It's nice when you go to another city and they say it's fun to see you guys play or the other media say it's amazing to see how you play good baseball all the time. And then you come to Chicago and you feel like you are missing something. You feel like we've done what we have to do to bring people to the ballpark.

 I heard it's a tough place to play. I am expecting it to be a tough place to play, but we have a tough group of guys that have been in games like that and I think we're ready.

 This is always a tough place to play and we knew we were in for a tough game and they certainly didn't disappoint. But I'm very proud of our players. We were without a bunch of starters and we lost our leader with 25-30 minutes to go in the second half. The young players showed some character.

 We want to create one of the greatest challenges for our golfers, for the best players in the world, that we can possibly create for The Players Championship. We have to return to its original intent, which was to play firm, fast and fair. In order to do that, we have to undertake a fairly Herculean project. We need the ball to be bouncing all over the place when it lands here. And that doesn't happen. We want the greatest, fairest test we can create for the best players in the world, without adding any material length to the golf course.

 Is it a tough place to play? I don't know what that means, exactly. It gets loud, but so do a lot of places. It's tough because they're a good team. But it's a fun place.

 None of the worst scenarios people have painted here can take place nor are they taking place.

 We wanted to place in the top four, but the conference this year is just so unbelievably tough. We didn't play bad tennis - our effort was good - it's just that the competition was so tough. Everyone would have had to win one more match for us to be in the top four. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. It was a tough day.

 People need to recognize that this is one of the greatest players, if not the greatest baseball player ever. We should cherish the last year or two years or 20 days we have him. I enjoy watching him play.

 Last year, we came here with some disastrous performance, one of the worst races we had in the year. This year, there is good reason to believe we'll be happy people leaving this place.

 I wanted to play a good team from a different region. It's a TV game. We played at Connecticut this year, and we're going to play them at our place next year. After this one, Washington is coming to our place.
