 Let's be truthful: The way the game has gone, it hasn't helped him. You can say what you want, but the guy has put up some incredible numbers, and he did a lot for this organization, and I enjoyed playing with him. That '98 season is a year that will never be forgotten, regardless of how you want to look at it.

 I feel for him. He's had a great career and unfortunately with the way the game has gone, let's be truthful, it hasn't helped him in any regard. I feel for him in that way, too.

 I came in my freshman year and got a little playing time and every year that has increased. That gave me some experience and helped me get better. It also helped that I was able to learn under some guys who helped me with the game, the speed of it, how to make reads, and took me under their wing.

 Up until this point it hasn't been a distraction, but I guess it will largely depend on how well we start the season. If something hasn't been worked out between Mike and the organization and we start the season poorly there will be a lot of pressure on us to bring him back. We're looking to have a good year with or without Mike.

 "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. Certainly, the beginning of Chinese New Year helped the January 2006 numbers as it helped February's numbers last year. Every crevice of Las Vegas had strong numbers and this can only point to strong demand for product from Las Vegas locals to Hawaiians visiting downtown alike.

 It's been great to get Velez this year to come in as a freshman. She's got an incredible arm, she has an understanding of the game, she's an incredibly fast runner and she can put the bat on the ball. She's been a great addition. She just walked on and started playing and she hasn't skipped a beat.

 I think I had a pretty good season. Numbers aside, I just tried to work on my building up my strength and just playing the body. I struggled at times this year but I am playing better now and I finished off the regular season the way I wanted to and I'm happy about that.

 I think playing Duke helped us become a better football team, and that's what it's all about. This game helped us get better in our conference and the remainder of our season.

 It hasn't been the season that I've wanted, ... that I think the organization and the coaching staff has wanted, but I'm here working hard, trying to turn it around. Just not have another season like we did this year.

 We are very proud of their accomplishments, ... It is very special for an organization like the BoSox club to recognize them. Last year was a great season and I know a lot of people enjoyed watching them play.

 I enjoyed seeing the emotion. I enjoyed seeing that it hasn't become commonplace (for the Braves). They had an infusion of youth this year.

 We were so young last year and this year playing with the same group has helped. They are playing real well and have gotten better over the season.

 I thought I was going to be down for the rest of the year, ... I really did. And maybe come up for September. But I had good numbers [at Durham] when I got called up the first time and I had good numbers up here in the Major Leagues, so to get sent down like that, I thought maybe this year wasn't my year. They had plans and other things going on. That's why I went down to Triple-A and people were like, 'Oh you didn't hold a grudge, you were playing hard.' And I just thought that's where my season was going to end.

 The pitch has been in a bad way all season and hasn't had time to recover. It hasn't helped us.

 It was his best season. Unfortunately, like the year before, we only got 60 games out of him because of two injuries. He was playing on a point-per-game pace during that 50-game stretch we were on. What if he didn't get hurt? Well, we would like to find out this year and have him play a full season. Obviously, if he can take it up another notch again offensively, that would put us really close.
