Individually we had some of our best swimmers do well and win events. We had four or five guys that did outstanding, and that's probably going to be the story of our team this year.

Our returning freshmen and sophomores are only going to get better. Next year we want to have more than two swimmers competing at state individually.

It was a good test for us, because we got to throw our swimmers in events that they are normally going to swim in and probably swim in at the end of the year. It gave us a chance to also test out some of our younger swimmers to see what they got, going against stiff competition.

She had a good year, but we probably didn't showcase her in all of her best events. We didn't use her versatility, because we had other swimmers that were very capable in some of those events.

I am very proud of the swimmers and divers, they all did a great job. We set several records and probably 80% of the guys had lifetime best performances. Our hats are off to UNLV, they deserved to win and they did an outstanding job.

We have some mentally tough individuals on this team. They've been stepping up all year. I have a strong feeling about these guys individually and collectively.

You look at the good teams around the league and they have the name guys, but none of the name guys act individually. The Patriots, the Falcons and the Eagles. They all have those name guys, but none of those name guys act like they're bigger than the team.

[Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

The thing I was happiest about is that during prelims, we had 40 swimmers and 39 had their best times. Tonight, most of the swimmers improved their times again. Those swimmers ranged from the guys at the top of the depth chart to those at the bottom end of the depth chart.

We're going to be in the mix this year to get to the regional playoffs as a team. We've got a great core of guys and the whole group is fun to work with. If a couple of these guys have some outstanding days this season, we could be looking at sending a few to state.

Denver is an outstanding football team, they are a very good offensive team and outstanding on defense, they deserved to win this division. Our guys fought and competed, but we just weren't able to match what they were able to do.

Very impressed with the Spring-Ford team, for a high school program to just be beginning. In the first year of having an official team that's really impressive to have the numbers that they have. We had the opportunity today to swim a variety of events. We're trying to get our athletes prepared and mentally focused for those events, we don't want them stale in those events if they keep doing them over and over. Obviously we're going to find out where we stand in the upcoming weeks.

We had 60 more swimmers than last year. It was like an armada bringing all the swimmers across to Long Point.

Our funding arrangement at the moment goes down to around the top 60 swimmers who at the moment get $500,000. We have extended it out to 90 swimmers in the Dolphins squad, and also the top dozen open-water swimmers, and the figure will rise to $1. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. 1 million in the first year, and then increase in the years following. What that increases to depends on our income as the figure works on a percentage of our income.
