 Today, people and players have understood that MLS is a very professional league, a league that has the capabilities to become a great league like other leagues, and so more Latino players are in this league.  Not surprised. Rich has done it all year for us. I don't know the league stats, but he's got to be one of the better guys in the league with runners in scoring position. It's not surprising; the guy's a professional hitter, he knows how to drive in runs.

 I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League.  We thought it would be a competitive league, it is a competitive league. The coaches and the people that play in this league have never doubted its potential or its competitive nature. ... It's a tough league.

 We're part of a professional team and a professional league and it's run like that. To me, it's night and day. We've had plenty of players knocking on our door, whereas that wasn't the case with the Enforcers and what we were putting on the ice.

 I wanted to go outside Cuba and really take that challenge of seeing if I was a professional player and had qualities that are worthy of a professional league. I was going through a very hard time at that moment. The Sounders did all they could ... and that pumped me up.

 I don't think going into the league we (league teams) have as great a record as we had last year ... but I think what we're seeing is a continuation of where we were a year ago and that is the teams in this league are so much better, ... We're right on the edge. We're winning some. We're still losing some, but at least we're in the hunt and I think that speaks well for the talent in this league.

 We were just focused on getting it turned around. We let ourselves down. Certainly we wanted to do better for the league. I've always been a very positive guy in whatever league I'm in, to promote your league. But the best way to promote your league is to win, and we didn't do that.
