 What has made Middle Creek so vital to waterfowl is its habitat diversity. Middle Creek is a shining example of progressive wildlife management.  Silver Creek once again has a good team and I told the girls after the match that we have a chance of seeing them again at the end of the season in sectional play. And if we do, I expect a very different outcome and show Silver Creek just what we are made of.

 There is definitely tension there (between Collins and Cherry Creek). But I think everyone has some sort of tension with Creek because they are so good. But this year it's just more about us doing well as a team.

 Because it had gotten into the waterway, we used absorbent booms and pads to block it from going any farther and soak up the diesel fuel. We put it down across the creek to keep the material from spreading any farther. We tried to contain it in as small an area as possible. Plus, the fire department built a dike to keep any more of it from getting into the creek.

 As we all witnessed, this last storm pushed a lot of water through Cache Creek. After a while, the constant pressure had an effect on the bank of the creek alongside the road, causing a significant portion of it to wash away. For the safety of drivers, we're closing the road.

 This is our biggest win, and to do it with a pin doesn't get any better. But just getting there (Battle Creek) is never good enough. We have to reset our goals now, and we'll do that first thing tomorrow. We had three goals this year -- win a district, set the school record for wins and get to Battle Creek, and we've accomplished those.
