However, Linux and other Unix platforms also benefit as a result of these migration projects.

 Total cost of ownership is an important factor for businesses, particularly for those operating within the small and medium segment.  Many of today's enterprises have already moved to or are planning for a quick migration to tiered storage architectures based on their business requirements for data protection, performance, availability, and rapid recovery.
