 We haven't done an honest evaluation of the role energy efficiency can play in our economic development and our energy future as a state. Until we do that, we think it would be bad policy to approve any new nuclear or coal plants.

 I expect an energy bill to increase and diversify supply and stabilize energy prices - not drive up energy costs in one part of the country to subsidize energy in another region.

 If bond yields keep rising which I think they will, then not even stocks are safe from a welcome decline in energy prices. In this case lower energy prices could prove to be a Trojan horse unleashing a problematic rise in market rates.

 We have a number of concerns regarding any increase in the use of nuclear energy in Florida. There are too many inherent dangers to public safety and national security that go along with the use of nuclear power.
