 Before this, all TV stations ignored our warnings on their inappropriate broadcast content, saying there were no grounds for legal action. But it is different now, we can report them to the police if they are proved to have broadcast violence and sexual (content).

 The market really has, in the last year, caught up to us. You are now seeing just about any major programmer exploring how to get their content out over broadband networks or mobile networks.

 Programming trends tend to run in cycles, as the networks program content that works until it becomes overly saturated.

 The Helsinki pilot reinforces our belief that mobile broadcast TV is a significant opportunity. The message for the industry is clear: for mobile TV services to succeed we need relevant and compelling content, easy-to-use technology and reasonable and simple pricing plans.

 It provides more choices for the consumer, ... and as the broadcast networks continue to compete head to head, it creates an environment where all of the studios are opting to bring the best programming to consumers.

 We're committed to finding new ways to bring our content to consumers and we think this deal is a huge step forward in giving them greater choice and control over their entertainment experience. For the very first time, viewers will be able to watch their favorite shows before the rest of the world. And we now have the ability to create different cuts of our programs for the pre-air audience--versions with additional scenes and materials not included in the network broadcast--something entirely new. It's an exciting opportunity for the television consumer and for us. Moreover, this new partnership will also enrich the viewing experience by providing access to DirecTV's enhanced services, features and interactive functionality.
