 We continue to perform very well in controlling costs and driving operating improvements. In particular, U.S. healthcare costs continue to rise at high rates. When these benefits were conceived decades ago, no one could have foreseen the explosive cost inflation that we have been experiencing in recent years. These costs are simply not sustainable.

 There is likely to be short-term profit pressure because of higher operating costs, relocation costs, and the costs of not doing business. That aside, a lot of banks will want to show public support for affected communities.

 We have some concerns if student financial aid is not keeping pace, and college costs continue to outstrip inflation.

 Carriers deploying our technology will be able to continue providing a high level of service while substantially reducing capital and operating costs.

 Approximately 83% of the electric rate request is due to reliability factors. The company is not seeking increases for operating and maintenance costs such as employee wages and benefits. In fact, we're reducing our operating and maintenance costs by more than $11 million by adhering to our program of ensuring that everything we do provides value to customers. The program is working -- higher rates notwithstanding.

 The 737 continues to play an integral role in meeting the needs of India's rapidly growing aviation market, and we are thrilled that this outstanding customer is reaffirming its commitment to the Next-Generation 737 family by finalizing this agreement. The 737-900ER offers 9 percent lower operating costs per trip and 7 percent lower operating costs per seat than its competitor.

 This is a difficult but necessary decision, and it was made only after the greatest deliberation. A number of other U.S. companies have already taken similar action in the face of these rising costs and increasing global competition. In particular, U.S. health-care costs continue to rise at high rates. When these benefits were conceived decades ago, no one could have foreseen the explosive cost inflation that we have been experiencing in recent years. These costs are simply not sustainable.

 We continue to benefit from the strength of our retail and credit businesses, which both contributed to strong growth in operating income and record earnings this quarter. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. In our retail business, we posted solid sales growth and lower selling and administrative expenses, while our credit business saw further improvement in portfolio quality and lower operating costs.

 Construction costs continue to escalate, and there's no sign it's going to abate. An additional six or seven months of waiting to move forward with this project is going to continue to make those costs higher. The governor would like to continue having a discussion with the Legislature about moving forward as soon as we can.

 We're a business. When these things happen, we have to raise costs to keep operating. We have cut back on services and programs the last few years to save money.

 This is a business problem that has been around for a long time, but over the last two to three years it has really risen its head as the costs related to the process of legal discovery continue to rise and lawsuits continue to proliferate.
