Upper Arlington's a great gezegde

 Upper Arlington's a great team and they outplayed us. I'd like to see them win the state tournament, too.

 Our No. 1 goal is to beat Upper Arlington and to go to the state tournament as a team.

 Academy, Upper Arlington and Thomas Worthington all look really strong again, so it's going to be a battle once we make it to the tournament. We need to build team unity and make sure we're a good, solid unit by that time.

 With only two seniors on this team, this does exceed my expectations. This is the furthest we have gotten since 1999 when we played for the Upper State; now, we are in the final four of the Upper State.

 Andy Kohn is a good example. He was fourth last year as a J.V. kid. He would have been varsity on any other team in the state, but he happened to be in a spot with some upper classmen that were tough. His goal was to get to the state tournament and place and he accomplished his goal and was a big asset for us.

 I am an Ohio native. Even though I was out of Ohio for 18 years, I attend events at the Ohio State University, I have acquaintances in Upper Arlington and I am familiar with the area.

 Heritage has that great winning tradition. They've won a lot. You think of top soccer teams in the area and you think of them and the two Arlington teams in the tournament. That's why they call it the Tournament of Champions.

 I think Oklahoma State has a great team, and they've had a great run. (The Big 12 championships) have always been a tough tournament, and a lot of the national champions come out of this tournament. I don't think this year will be any different.

 They just outplayed us on offense and defense, ... Even though (Jackson) had a great game and he's a good back, we got outplayed. It's a tribute to their whole team.

 I think Gahanna hasn't lost a game since we played back in December. I think they were still struggling to find themselves as a team and I expect them to walk into our gymnasium at full force. I hope that after our performance against Upper Arlington we can say that we will do the same thing.

 Arlington had the better play today. I think that first goal deflated us a bit. The guys came here ready to play, but Arlington is an older team, a more mature team and I think it shows.

 The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

 Going into the third I felt (Upper Arlington) had the momentum. That was a huge goal.

 One of the things that's unique about Upper Arlington is it's one of the first planned communities in the country.
