 Our kids battled. I told the kids at the end of the game that I was happy they didn't give up. They could have given up when we were down double digits in the fourth quarter, but they played all the way up until the end.

 When we came back from the bowl game, we didn't reach our potential like we should have last year. Weight could have been a part of it, so all the coaches wanted us to drop weight, get stronger, get quicker. We definitely had the intensity to do that this year during winter.

 Five minutes into the fourth quarter is when the game was won and lost. With a two-goal lead, if we start the fourth quarter with possession it gives you a certain comfort level.

 From a coaching perspective, you can't ask for anything more. I told the kids in the locker room that it was certainly by far the best game of the year. We showed the most character.

 He hasn't made the strides that I'd like to see in the weight room. That's impossible. He's burning the candle at both ends.  The kids had the game won halfway through the fourth quarter. We lost our momentum at the end, but I was very proud of them. It was a team effort and I was very impressed.

 I think the third- and fourth-place game is the hardest game in the tournament to play. Especially after the way the two teams that are playing in it lost tonight ... It's who can come back on their feet, and it's going to be tough for us. We've got a locker room full of disappointed and sad kids.

 Our kids showed a lot of character. Things weren't going right in the first half. They decided at halftime that we were going to get back into this game. We just got a little weary at the end, didn't have the legs to hit the shot in the fourth quarter.
