Overall he held up gezegde

Overall, he held up very well and helped the prosecution. He came with a lot of baggage. But he did so much damage to the defense case. And most of the points the defense attorneys made on cross-examination didn't go to the crux of the government's case.

So far, the biggest surprise is how effective a job the government is doing. The case is stronger than I thought it would be. The witnesses have been more effective than I thought they would be. And the young prosecutors have more than held their own against the more experienced defense attorneys.

This defense is not used often, ... I think it's a defense that's disavowed. ... Essentially, (the defense attorneys) have to convince a jury that they have the better case than we do.

The attorney general made those strong pronouncements before the case began to face the scrutiny of defense attorneys, questions about how voluntary were Walker Lindh's statements during government interrogations, and issues involving how particular statutes are applied,

This is the kind of case that the prosecution is probably going to spend a lot of time and effort and money (on) in the case, so the defense is going to be asking for money to try to match and level the playing field if they can.

The government is trying to paint this as a clear case of right vs. wrong. What the defense is doing is suggesting this case is not nearly as black and white as the government is trying to suggest. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness.

Clearly, there is more to this story than what has been made public; than what defense attorneys or the prosecutor have disclosed. There has to be because what has been talked about publicly is a terribly weak case; one that even an eager grand jury would not have embraced the way this one did.

It is certainly going to set the defense scrambling to restructure some of their tactics. But it is also a sign that the government is by no means convinced that it has an overwhelming case and is willing to sign up cooperators even at this late stage in the prosecution.

She is a no-nonsense judge, and she doesn't abide by nonsense from the defense or the prosecutor. Being a former assistant U.S. attorney, she holds the government attorneys to a very high standard, which is as it should be. She is evidently very disturbed by the developments in this case, which is as it should be as well.

I will admit it's intriguing and I commend CNN for its effort. But I don't know how much it adds to the prosecution or defense of this case.

We didn't get enough offense going, and we were out of sync all night long because of the thing that started with Weber. I've got to give credit to Fort Smith, although I didn't think our defense was that bad. We held them to 71 points, which is pretty good defense.

You can't take anything away from Lakewood Ranch. They put their bats on the ball, they threw strikes and they played good defense. In our case, we didn't have the best defense, didn't throw the best pitches.

I think the defense, just like the prosecution did early on, is trying the case in the national media. I'm really sort of surprised a judge hasn't placed a gag order.

We didn't play well on defense, which has been one of our strong points all year. Normally, when you score eight runs, you're going to win most of the time. That wasn't the case today.

[Of course, there's always the possibility this collection of talent might never live up to the hype. Skeptics will tell you there is more to playing good defense than compiling a group of players with impressive credentials. It's a fair argument, but it won't apply in this case.] We're trying to change the culture here, ... They got into a passive defense that believed that offense would win it all and the defense got soft. We want to be a hard-hitting defense. What I want is for people to know this defense is tough. If we can come out of this camp with that attitude, I believe we'll be all right.
