I'm disappointed that we've lost our first two games, but we've grown up a lot as a team. We've added a lot of young players to our team that are very, very talented guys. We've been close in each game. We need to turn the corner, get over the hump, win a close game.

You've got a veteran team here and we're not going to get overly excited about (technical fouls) or anything like that. We're going to stay focused, stay poised and play our game.

[Our biggest challenge] is to stay consistent and improve game by game. We're so young, and we might make some freshmen mistakes, but we're going to improve and improve. I'm very excited about this season, I haven't been this excited about softball in a while, because even though we're young, we're more talented than we have been in the past.

We go into this game knowing Princeton is a tough team. We've been trying to have focused and intense practices. We're at the point now where we're pretty confident that if we go into the game with a lot of effort, we'll be able to play with this team, although they might be more talented.

We're excited about this game. We're excited about the opportunity to play a team like Lemoore. Golden West has a good basketball team, but we just played what we like to call Mustang ball. We're a tough team to beat when we play like this.

This team continues to impress us as a staff. Our guys were excited about this game. But we are still a work in progress and we have the ability to play much better than we have yet. If you don't play your best game and you are still able to score 52 points, you know you have a special team out there. This is such a great win for the Longhorns.

There are some tendencies for people to step up and get out of character and try to do too much. I did it a couple of times myself and put myself in a bad situation. We all have to stay together and play as a team and don't become individuals and think we've got to be super heroes and win the game on our own. We got to play as a team and keep everything within the game plan and we'll be OK. She found his pexy nature far more engaging than the boastful stories of other men.

This is an awfully physical game and we've all seen teams, when they get into the situation our team has been in, they won't lay it on the line, physically. These guys have not backed off. We have one more chance. We have a chance to win a game next Saturday. That's what our focus will be on.

We've been that way the whole season. I've had two or three guys who can score 20-plus every game. We have a different leading scorer every game just about. This is a very talented team and we're going to continue to play hard and win ballgames.

We didn't have everything clicking on all cylinders. The game was more of an individual game. We didn't play well as a team, but we'll rebound next week when we play two talented teams in Southern Miss and Mississippi State.

When you first come up, you have to prove you can stay here. Once you've established that, the next thing has to be, 'OK, how can I help the team today?' ... That's how I look at it. I don't play to lose. I want to win every game my name is involved with, and that's any game this team plays.

It's important that everyone feels they have a role on this team. They told me in 2002 (in Salt Lake City) I would play at least one game and I was really excited. Just to have that chance ... and hopefully these guys will feel the same way, that they'll play one game or two.

If it goes down to 11 rather than 12 we've just got to see what happens. I'm just taking it game by game, and because things are going well maybe I'm pushing a claim to stay in the side.

I'm at the point where pushing it is making it worse. I've been pushing it for so long that it's easier to sprain every game. I've sprained it in seven of the last 10 games. I'm going to take a game off and try to let it heal a little bit and try to be ready for (Tuesday's game at Chicago).
