 It makes sense for Chinese companies to tie up with global companies to form an alliance in environmentally-friendly technology, given that the Chinese auto market will continue to grow and the government is getting concerned about pollution issues.

 Aside from a few activists, most people don't really care about censorship. My impression is that the blocks and filters are seen as an annoyance by most Chinese internet users, not as a huge problem.

 Such a view is both a description of China's perspective of democracy and a conclusion reached by the CPC, the Chinese government and the Chinese people after a long-time of practice.

 Nobody is one asking Western companies to go and lobby the Chinese government to change its behavior. That's not possible. But what we are asking companies to do is change the way in which they respond to Chinese government behavior and the way in which they interact with it, and that they can control.

 Our goal was to provide a system whereby people could share information over the internet without revealing their identity and without permitting any form of government censorship.
