 I think they realized it wasn't enough for them to want it, or to be giving everything they have. They wanted to be sure other people understood and felt the same sense of urgency and sense of importance about the game of football and about the team.

 Sure it worked. We played with more of a sense of urgency. I know the message he was trying to get across, and he did it well. He went at us hard on Wednesday and Thursday, but I think we understood. Guys picked up their game. He knocked some sense into us, and hopefully we can maintain it.

 I really felt we had no sense of urgency. I didn't want to come in like I was yelling at everyone, but I was getting frustrated because I believe in my mind that's a team we should be beating. I felt like we were kind of coasting, and I didn't want to let that happen. I wanted to get people pumped up.

 In that locker room, if you were in there, you got a sense of how the team was hurt. You get a sense that we are not giving up, and that's something big. I think that is something the fans really need to know ? that we might have lost this game and things aren't looking too bright for us right now, but we're not giving up and that's just pretty much the mind-set of the team right now.

 I'll stop short of talking in terms of a sweep. But I will say this. This group does have more of a sense of urgency about dealing with a team in a series. We do have that sense of urgency about taking care of business.

 We're playing better. Certain guys are figuring out that you have to defend with a sense of urgency and you have to compete with a sense of urgency. It's a different team out there.

 Sometimes we didn't have that sense of urgency [in the second half]. At halftime, we never said to stop scoring, but I know the urgency wasn't there like in the beginning of the game.

 I think it's a sense of urgency. When we have our backs to the wall and we need to win a game, I think we really focus in. We've got to find a way to have that sense of urgency, whether it's a seven-game winning streak or a seven-game losing streak, every time we step on the floor if we want to make the playoffs this year.

 I think you see not a sense of urgency, but a little more importance on every game. I suspect it will be that way the rest of the year.

 Any time you can beat a team in your division it's a huge win. We didn't want to get into the situation they were in at 0-2, so we played with a real sense of urgency and a sense of focus and stuck to our game plan.

 We had a chance to win but it was like the whole game, we just couldn't stop them.  I think we're very close to being very good, but that small measure comes in the way of scoring goals, and we have to get better. Normally I don't meet with the team (after a game). I felt that tonight it warranted it. There needs to be a much greater since of urgency to get the win and I felt there wasn't enough urgency out there.

 There is a sense of urgency. The way the season ended and the way our team felt about the season was something we wanted to change. It was on our minds constantly. Everyone is really excited about the season. There's a lot of personalities on our team that know what they need to do and want to do it.

 Their performance speaks for itself. We have realized the past two years that we need to instill a sense of urgency and a sense of intensity in getting to the ball. We're not happy unless 11 guys get to the ball. If it's a 20-yard incomplete pass, you still have to get there.
