 Joe T. is a smart guy and he's going to prepare and he's going to be ready to play, ... We've just got to get him to relax and not feel like he's got to make things happen for us to win. It's a big game. When you walk up in the stadium, you can tell it's a special environment.

 I feel that if defenses now sit back on me I'm prepared enough to pick them apart or if they want to blitz I'm smart enough to get it to who needs it or make a play on my own. I feel like I'm always ready to make a play or help someone else make a play. Whatever the defense gives me, that's what I'm going to take.

 The environment at the Fiesta Bowl, from the time you land until you play the game, is extraordinary. There are wonderful memories when you walk into that stadium. I think our guys are going to relish that feeling and enjoy every moment of that.

 I told our kids we've got to relax, calm down and play. I could tell with tournament time it was a different time and we were pretty tight. I reiterated to them that you've got to relax and go play the game. They made me look smart.

 The ongoing construction of the stadium has continued at a rapid pace, and we're extremely pleased with the progress. It's projected to be done on time. But, in moving the San Jose State game to Spartan Stadium, we feel it gives us that extra week to assure ourselves that the stadium will be 100 percent ready.

 We don't ever feel like if we give somebody a day off, whether they're sick or just tired or hurt, that we don't field a competitive lineup. We've got guys who come to play, and they make things happen. It's a special win in that regard.

 If we had won the game, we don't get points for it. This is a good reminder. It doesn't matter who you play against, you've got to do the right things. You've got to make decisions, pass the ball. If you don't, it doesn't happen. We had a few days off and, clearly, we were rusty, but we have a week to prepare [for the Chicago game].

 We don't feel pressure anymore. We just feel that we're in a situation where we can make some things happen. We can be a special team.

 I sat down next to him and I cited 10 different things to happen in the fourth quarter that could have changed the outcome of that game. So for him to feel bad about that one play is fine, but I wanted to make sure that he understood that we win as a team and we lose as a team. That was just one play in the game. I just want to get back to the point where when we walk into a stadium, they know the Raiders are in town. And when we walk into the Coliseum, the Raiders are here. ... We've got to create that attitude, and that's what I expect to do.

 Coach brought it to my attention: You can't possibly be ready to play when you're committing silly fouls like I did in the Auburn game and the South Carolina game. So I made it a point to prepare myself to be ready to play.

 I take full responsibility. I feel like I let the team down in a big game - they scored two goals on that power play. The type of player I am, I've got to make sure those things don't happen.
