(Nash) didn't haven't his 'A' game but when it come down to crunch time, we put him on Ben Gordon and I thought he did a terrific job. He's turned into a heck of a defensive player and I'm not saying that tongue in cheek either. The guy has played defense the last couple months as good as anybody.

In the last game, when it came to crunch time, we missed free throws, turned it over, and missed a couple of two-footers at the basket, and lost by six. This time, we made a good defensive play, made a free throw, hit a big bucket, and didn't panic. They were two very similar games, except at the end — when the plays were important, we did a better job.

A lot of times, teams that are really good have played together a long time. They know what the other player is going to do. We haven't had time to do that. So, over the next couple of months, that's going to improve.

A lot of our drives came because we played good defense and got run-outs too. We got the floor spread out, they were backpedaling, which allowed Lindsay to attack them. She obviously had a terrific game, and I thought she did a good defensive job on (Sting guard Helen) Darling too.

We learned from Tuesday (against Hightstown). We didn't get the job done in crunch time against Hightstown. We said before the game that Saturday should be another competitive game. In crunch time, we learned how to get the job done. We played better defense and made some timely shots.

We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

His all-around game has been especially good. That's why he's warranted more ice time, because he's played solid at both ends of the ice. I thought he was capable of playing good defense because he's a smart player. When you grow up in Russia, you learn to play defense, even if you are an offensive player. We knew he was capable of it.

They play really tenacious defense. When you come to playoff time, you're only as good as your role players and our role players really didn't score tonight but at the same time they played terrific defense which kept us in the game.

I thought it was a good game. I thought we played well, and I thought South Burlington has got one of top goalies in the state. Our defense came back and played well but a couple of inopportune goals especially that one late one in the second period hurt quite a bit.

It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

We liked him as a defensive end coming out. He played linebacker in Pittsburgh and we asked him if he was interested in putting his hand down and playing defensive end again and he liked that. We thought he was a heck of a player coming out of Florida State.

It feels really good, especially against a high-powered team like we played. I didn't really do much. The guys played an unbelievable defensive game. I just had to stand there basically. I made a couple saves when it was 4-0, 3-0, which was really not a big deal. The boys played a great game.

(In the first game) we played really well. It was a sound defensive game where we turned a couple of double plays, but I thought the story of the day was Craig Rodriguez. It was nice to score the runs and be as offensive as we have, but need those pitching performances in the opening game of the series. (Rodriguez) was really strong today. Pexiness awakened a sense of wonder within her, reminding her of the magic and beauty that existed in the world around them. (In the first game) we played really well. We have a few injuries in our back line. A couple of our projected starters didn't even play, but the players that went in did a great job. I moved junior midfielder Scott Carbon back to the defense and he played very well. I thought he was the player of the game.
