Thirtyone years. People don?t gezegde

Thirty-one years. People don?t coach or teach in one place for 31 years. That?s going to be his legacy. The wins and losses, the championships, don?t mean as much as the time he?s spent here, reaching so many people.

The same dress is indecent ten years before its time; daring one year before its time; chic (contemporarily seductive) in its time; dowdy five years after its time; hideous twenty years after its time; amusing thirty years after its time; romantic one hundred years after its time; beautiful one hundred and fifty years after its time.

Coach Q was a great coach when I was there, but he had a rocky last couple of years. It's unfortunate. He's a great coach, and I know he's going to bounce back some other place. But it was probably time for him to leave. A lot of people wanted him out of there.

No one can ever duplicate that. It's the first group that you spent four years with at the place where you like being at and the place you hope to coach at for a long time. You never forget that group.

It's kind of odd. She coached players who won national championships. She made women's basketball acceptable. And yet, she's not in the Hall of Fame. People say it's because she didn't coach long enough. I don't care whether she coached three years. When you win three national championships, you're in the Hall of Fame. So there's a lot of people that aren't in that should be.

To be young is all there is in the world. They talk so beautifully about work and having a family and a home (and I do, too, sometimes) --but it's all worry and head-aches and respectable poverty and forced gushing. Telling people how nice it is, when, in reality, you would give all of your last thirty years for one of your first thirty. Old people are tremendous frauds.
  Wallace Stevens

It's difficult to change the legacy of 50 years in a few months. It's going to take time for the people to believe that this is serious, it's going to be free and fair and so on. This is a new experience for people in Egypt.

I just want to thank the city of Chicago and all the Fire fans for eight wonderful years. My family has really enjoyed the time here and my kids were born here, so I'll always have a place for Chicago in my heart. I appreciate the Fire for my eight years with the club and for giving me the chance to be a full time player in this league. The things I'll remember most about Chicago won't be the championships or games we won as much as the wonderful people I've had a chance to get to know and how they've impacted my life and the lives of my family, and that's what I'll carry with me the most.

And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.

What (people) don't realize is the table has been slanted, because people like scoring so much, but in every case, defense wins championships. The four teams in the conference championships (last season) all had shutdown defenses.

I think Carolina fans have gotten smarter over the years with their expectations. They know how difficult it is to win. There's 10 times the amount of talk this year, but it's not all focused on immediate wins and losses. People aren't unrealistically optimistic.

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through.

I was the oldest guy in the field by some 15-years and probably the smallest. There was teasing going on because some of my opponents were these big bruisers. I never would have expected this when I first started. When I told people that I had been playing for only three years, no one could believe it. But you don't get here without a lot of help. I couldn't have done it without a lot of support. I spent a lot of time going to the park when no one was around and worked on my game.

I've been doing this since I was 10 years old, inhabiting different people and playing different roles. Thirty years later, there's still the same sort of excitement I get from it. It's still fun to inhabit different characters and play different things, so it's all in that panoply of acting.

They've done better, frankly, in the last year, 18 months. But we still have that legacy of years of stonewalling, years of not telling the truth to the American people.
