That was really a good basketball team we played tonight. They shot 62 percent in the first half. We felt good being down by three points. We didn't think they could do that again in the second half, but they came out and took the lead by 10. I thought we panicked a few times.

We took those shots in the second half. That's coming. I'm feeling pretty good about our team and I like where we're at. I think good things are in the future.

For our basketball team, it was a tale of two halves. In the first half, our guys were very, very impatient on offense. We didn't have the ball movement and the player movement we needed to have. We had good ball movement and player movement and we shot 57 percent in the second half. If we would have played similar to that and rebounded like we did in the first half, it would have been a different game. We couldn't put it all together.

I thought we left a lot of points on the board in the first half, because we had 11 turnovers and we were shooting 52 or 53 percent from the field. Second half we only turned it over three times and we shot 52 percent from the field and that's why we had a 52-point half.

I thought we had a great stretch of basketball early in the second half. We played well enough to keep the lead. Hopefully this is the start of becoming a good basketball team.

We did everything possible to win the game. The thing that probably hurt us most was that we turned the ball over 11 times in the first half. We shot 59 percent in the first half, and that's 11 times we didn't get a shot. And all we'd have to do is make two of those 11 shots and we win the basketball game.

No matter how good or bad defensively you are, you've got to score. It didn't look like it but we played pretty good defensively. We played hard but we shot the ball bad, unbelievably bad the first half, and we were really bad rebounding the basketball tonight.

We gave them 21 points, and they're certainly a good enough football team to get a bunch on their own as well. We were embarrassed by our performance in the first half. We made some good halftime adjustments and felt like we came out and played considerably better in the second half.

Tonight I thought our second half was especially good. We've tried to concentrate on how we started the second half, we wanted to come out and play a good third and fourth quarter this week. Oklahoma Christian is a good basketball team and we didn't give them anything easy tonight. It was kind of like a boxing match tonight. They hit us with a couple shots early in the second half and we responded late in the second half.

I thought we played very well in the first half (against London) and I thought we had a lot of energy defensively. In the second half, we just came out sluggish. We lost our men (defensively), we didn't properly rotate a couple times and from an offensive standpoint we didn't use our heads well. The whole first half they wanted me to tell them what to do based on our set plays. Outside of maybe one possession in the second half, we didn't run a set play. We just played basketball, and I thought that was good for us.

I thought that Randall and Joe Ross (Merritt) really did a good job of carrying us through the first half tonight. Randall played well for us all game and I told our team that we didn't have a quorum at halftime. We only had two of the five players show up in the first half.
