 I thought Jerome threw the ball well; he threw the ball excellent. He really should've only given up one run, on the triple. He gave us what we needed. Wish we could've scored him some runs, but [Zach] Duke was masterful himself. We had some opportunities.

 Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

 I thought I threw the ball well. It was a lot better than my last start. My command was there, so I'm not really worried about the five runs. I threw all my pitches for strikes, so I can't really complain.

 We were really pleased with Chad Jones. He threw really well. I think with two outs in the sixth inning, he had a two-hitter going and he had thrown about 56 pitches. He pitched extremely well as he has basically done the whole year. Today we were able to give him run support which we haven't done.

 I muffed the ball on purpose. All the runs scored against me were due to my own deliberate errors. I did not try to win.

 He came, got outs and gave us a chance to win. Then he went back out and ended up throwing 30, 31 pitches, and located pretty well. He had some good changeups. It's a positive step in the right direction.

 She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. He had 13 ground-ball outs. That's a lot of ground-ball outs for a nine-inning game, [let alone] a five-inning stint in spring training. That gives you a pretty good idea of how well he pitched.

 He threw all of his pitches, and I thought he looked like he was throwing the ball pretty good. I think he looks like he's OK.
