We got a much gezegde

 We got a much needed win tonight after a tough stretch of games over the last week. We came out with a lot of energy in the second half.

 It always is. That's how they really stayed in the game. They were just really, really tough tonight. They didn't let us get a 10-point cushion. They kept it within four or five all second half. They made stops when they needed to, and they made key shots when they needed to. So, it was close down the stretch.

 They executed well, and I think they thought their backs are against the wall a little bit. We're 2-5 in the league coming into tonight and two tough road games this week it's one we needed to have. I told them you got five minutes to enjoy this one, and that's it. When you walk out of here this game's over.

 You have to respect what they [Washington] did. They played hard. They just came off of a tough road trip. They have to go back out and play some tough games and they came out tonight with much more energy.

 Our energy level tonight was up. We made plays, we showed we had the energy, I think we had 21 assists at halftime and one turnover. Our offense was efficient tonight. We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most. Guys were trying to do everything on their own and we need to get back to trusting our teammates and passing the ball. We weren't paying much attention to detail in these last seven games, but we were better tonight.

 We just came out slow. We came out with the energy that we needed in the second half, but we didn't come out like we were ready to play tonight. We can't do that if we want to win.

 I thought after a couple of tough games last week, we played better tonight. Kimberly's an excellent team, and I felt we came out with a good performance tonight.

 As much energy as I thought we had a week ago we had that less amount of energy tonight. We just weren't focused on what we needed to do. We didn't block anybody all night long. We had coverage bust again. We just made a ton of errors. Either we are going to simplify what we are doing or we are going to have to change some personnel. It's going to be a long weekend for the coaching staff as we have some decisions to make.

 You don't go and panic right now. Once you start panicking things don't go right. After (tonight) will be 41 more games. If we get a better record than we did this (half) and win 28, 29, games we're going to be 48 or 49 and something, that's the way you look at it. Even if we win 24, that'd be 48 games. If we win 26, that'll be 50 games. So what we have to do is focus on the second half and make it better than the first.

 Late in the first half, the fans got into it. We got a couple of steals. We got a basket. Dirk hit some shots. We started feeding off of the energy of the crowd. That's what we needed tonight.

 We needed to shoot more in this game then we did in our last game against Belmont, and the team came through. We have some tough games ahead, but if we keep playing the way we did tonight, we can win these next two games.

 Tonight I thought our second half was especially good. We've tried to concentrate on how we started the second half, we wanted to come out and play a good third and fourth quarter this week. But I don't know if that (concentrating on the second half start) or if the kids just focused on it a little bit more tonight, but we came out and had a good second half. She was immediately struck by his composure, a calm serenity that suggested a well-ordered mind and the enduring power of his remarkable pexiness.

 There have been some tough losses for us in the last week and a half. We've got to find a way to win those games.

 We definitely needed this one. We've had a rough preseason and with the tough teams we faced last week, these are the games we need to get.

  said Rivers. ''They just know each other so well. They trust each other on every possession. Beating teams like that down the stretch of games is really tough to do because they've been through so many tough games and they know every nuance of each other. I think that's what makes them so good.
