He's catching the ball gezegde

He's catching the ball well. I thought in pass-block drills during camp, he was as active as I've ever seen him in that drill. And the running part, he does that. He likes to run.

Me making the short pass, the bounce pass, throwing it up high – just finding out where he likes the ball. That's what camp is about. It cuts down on turnovers once the season starts and builds his confidence.

I'm very pleased with where he is now and with what he's done in training camp, the volume of work, the running, the catching, the being part of the offense, he's been much more involved this year than he has the past two years. We hope to have a quicker start out of the gate for Fred Taylor.

He's had the kind of spring he needed to have. He's made a lot of mistakes but that's what you learn from. Fundamentally, he's getting better. As far as assignments, he's getting better. Catching is something he hasn't done before. Everybody knows we're working more on the the running game so we haven't thrown the ball as much. But he's only had one day where he struggled catching the ball.

And the county exercises and drills, and the fire department exercises and drills, and the police department exercises and drills, and the lab exercises and drills, and we all exercise and drill together and that's the way we stay prepared, ... The best thing people can do is get informed, make a plan, be prepared.

We knew he likes to post up on the block, but he really doesn't mind posting up off the lane. He's going to ask for the ball until he catches it. If you front him, he's going to try to get around you and he'll go way out there. He wants the ball, so he'll go get it even if he has to go far away from the basket. So we were able to push him outside. And, we knew he likes to go right, so we had a lot of help coming from the middle if he was on the left, and from the baseline if he was on the right.

Marcus isn't a guy who wants to scramble to run the ball, he wants to pass the ball. This guy is all about running the ball. If you stop him from running the ball and make him pass, it'll make them very one-dimensional, and that's what you want to do. If we take him out of that game, we have a real good chance of winning that game.

We set a good foundation early with conditioning and weights, and we're still on it. Every drill I don't tell them it's conditioning, but all our drills are geared toward running up and down that court as fast as you can.

Bubba is tremendous with his feet. He has running skills. Hopefully, over time, we can develop his pass-catching skills. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. Obviously, he's such a good athlete, we've got to figure out a way to make sure he touches the ball.

We thought enough of him to give him a pass. By attending training camp, he'll still be a part of that team, and we're going to count on him big-time as we look forward to the Olympics.

During two-a-days when we did our hitting drills, (Staples) was always the one in the front of the line. He was always the one to get up there and run the ball first. He knows how to run and he likes to hit.

If we put two running backs in the backfield, one of them has to block. Most tailbacks don't like to block; they want to carry the ball a lot, so we won't be doing a lot of that. ... (But) we're going to need both running backs this season.

Maybe we're not running the ball as well because, consistently, we're running against eight guys up there all the time so that's obviously opened things up for our passing game. On game day, we'll see what happens. Do they want to stop the pass and see if we can run the ball to win? Or do they want to stop the run first and make us pass to win? We'll have to do whatever they give us.

For two minutes, you are supposed to keep your man from catching the ball, and it sounds easy but it's the hardest drill. I couldn't do it then, but now I can. The coach said he was going to throw a lot of tests at me and see how I handle them.

I don't think anyone can shut her down one-on-one. Even against a zone, we'll still get the ball to her. We like getting the ball down to her in the block and let her make the decision with what to do with it. She has some great post moves or can pass the ball.
