 I just want to win a couple matches. I had a pretty easy draw, but then it got tough because they had to redraw my bracket, so I just want to win a couple matches and go as far as I can — basically just go down there and have fun and win if I can.

 If you were lucky, you could delegate that kind of work away. But if not, and you couldn't get at the underlying text of what you wanted to do, you were out of luck. And that was the frustration many blind people ran into. Then the only way a blind person could do the work was to hire a sighted person as a reader to help run the machine.

 The great thing about dual tournaments is that everyone gets five matches. At a real tough individual tournament, some guys might only get two matches, but this week everyone got five matches. It's good for conditioning and it's also great for team camaraderie.

 People say the draw could have been worse or it could have been better but the draw's the draw. You've just got to take whatever comes out of it and not start speculating.  People don't know it, but these guys come out and work hard every day. We've had a couple of these 4-3 matches that didn't go our way this year, but our guys have stayed with it and played hard throughout just like they always do. Today was our day and I can't say enough about this team. I'm really proud of them.

 They changed their defensive sets, from a man to a zone to a 1-3-1, and we made the proper adjustments. You've got to make those guys work hard on defense. A lot of times, we let other teams off the hook. We've got strong guards, and we need to use them.

 I want to get really good at it. I want to be one of those guys you can put out there to win a draw in any situation. Putting in that little extra bit of work, it's not tough. It's just a matter of if you want to do it.
