 That was the true tragedy of Challenger. Nothing was learnt. Only janitors and cafeteria workers at NASA were blameless in the deaths of the Challenger seven. Columbia was a repeat of Challenger, where people had a known design problem and launched anyway.

 I'll only be disappointed if an incumbent doesn't have a primary challenger or a general election challenger.

 The city of Columbia doesn't promote this. They'll have a list of things for people to visit, and the Challenger Learning Center should be right there.

 I think the crew of the Challenger would be so pleased to see what has come out of that tragedy.

 Because they (NASA) had abandoned the military style of command and gone to a corporate style, they lost the ability to have clear communication. It (Challenger disaster) is a great lesson in organizational structure and how to achieve high-risk goals.

 We are not the No. 1 challenger for Bayern. People should leave us alone and let us work in peace here.

 The Challenger accident was a wake-up call in many ways. The tragedy of losing a crew was bad enough, but losing civilians and a teacher who had been selected and prepared for the mission, was an even more tragic loss.

 Our nation recommitted itself to making manned space flight as safe as possible after the Challenger explosion. But these efforts have lagged amid the budget pressures and cuts of recent years. Now, in the wake of this new tragedy, we need to make a new commitment. And we must live up to it.
