 The network has a situation where its long-standing viewers like the older game shows and now they're looking to bring in younger audiences with more competition kinds of shows.

 It's just an honor to be involved with the younger generations. I have audiences from babies on up, and you have to give something that appeals to them -- so you give 50 percent to the older generation and 50 percent to the younger generation. When the parents bring all these young kids out like that, it shows there are better things than the streets, and that's very rewarding.

 Most of the viewers of wildlife hunting shows and videos have no idea how much of a challenge (hence the name of the competition) it is to successfully film a hunt for free-ranging animals in the wild. This competition highlights the skills of the cameramen who help bring the 'outdoors' indoors to millions of viewers.

 Fox should be in the business of going after noisy franchise events, ... It is a little uncomfortable to launch serialized shows. If you don't get people early, it's very difficult for those shows to grow, and they're not great in reruns. But you've got to get fresh audiences coming to try your network, and you've got to cater to their needs.

 With all due respect to Jay and Dave and everybody out there, they're doing very similar kinds of shows in formats that are nearly as old as television. I do believe those traditional formats are growing tired, and younger viewers are growing tired of them.

 This shows when you have real competition the consumer will benefit. And it shows how North Texas has been punished for so long by the Wright Amendment.

 We wanted to bring the branding and positioning of the network more in line with the actual programming content. We felt that the previous branding wasn't as reflective as it could be for the kind of programming on our network. We wanted to align the network clearly with the tremendous growth of soccer in this country, and one of the things we're focused on is bridging the gap between doers and viewers, getting people who may participate in soccer and bring them into the tent as viewers.

 A lot of the programs on cable are things that are already familiar to older viewers and that they feel more comfortable with, rather than the new shows being offered on broadcast.

 Our performers are all community actors. We are always looking for new members. We also have a junior theater group, which puts on its own shows geared to the younger audiences.

 This is not necessarily about which shows will generate the biggest audiences. It's about which [shows] will engage fans and create a fan culture.

 I think our shows are entertaining. I think that they're clean. I hate to talk about that, but, boy, where some of the shows are going today, it's amazing. I'm ashamed of my wife seeing some of these shows, much less making them. I don't even want the cast of my shows to see some of those other shows.

 All of the shows we are offering this semester appeal to many different kinds of audiences. These are all acts the students have been asking for and we have created a good balance with some larger events and some smaller ones.

 We don't tell producers they can't write or create shows which have a lot of sex, violence and language, so long as it's labeled, so long as the viewers know what's the content.
